Rua Conde de Irajá, 109 – Botafogo,
Delicious Dishes. Kind Service. Relaxed Environment.
Located in Botafogo, this small house can host only 55 guests in a very laid back atmosphere. The restaurant has two different areas, one is the dinning room and the other is a lobby with couches, chairs and some small tables. Chef Pedro de Artagão runs the Irajá Gastrô and offers its visitors a specific menu for each day of the week.
We recommend you the cassava chips with butter and the fake cheese bread as appetizers, the latter being a tapioca bread served with an apricot and ginger jelly. As the main course, the lamb and the ribs are the favorite ones, both cooked for about 12 hours. For dessert, the famous hot chocolate pie with vanilla sauce is a great option, but you can also try a delicious cassava pie with dulce de leche!
The desserts in Irajá Gastrô are amazing, but this two are outstanding! To the left, the famous hot chocolate pie with vanila sauce. To the right, the delicious cassava pie with dulce de leche!
Those two are totally worth a try!
